Egg Academy is a community for young creators. We run live online sessions and community events to bring the community together.
How a creative session works
Creative Sessions run Monday to Thursday, 4-6pm. We are looking at opening some options for homeschool time periods. Each session follows the same predictable rhythm so teens know what is coming. Teens can arrive late, leave early, or step out to a quiet space when they need to.
- 4:00pm
- Gather -- teens arrive, settle in, and chat while facilitators welcome the group.
- 4:15pm
- Icebreaker -- a key part of the session, designed so kids who find social moments hard can still land smoothly with the group.
- 4:30pm
- Community brief -- community updates, weekly challenges, and upcoming events so teens know what is happening across Egg.
- 4:45pm
- Focus time -- the main making block. On the Starter Course everyone works on the set weekly challenge; in membership teens choose from suggested challenges matched to skill level and interests (or a personal project).
- 5:30pm
- Showcase -- creative works from the session are showcased. Some students prefer to have their work showcased on their behalf while others like to express their creations themselves.

Apps, games, tools, and automations -- things you build once and run again and again. Logic, problem-solving, and the kind of digital craft that replicates and scales.

Art, animation, video, music, photography, and design -- creative work they can copy, remix, and share widely. Another skill set where one strong piece of work can travel far.

Communication Working with people
Teamwork, presenting ideas, giving feedback, and building confidence with others -- the human skills that help scalable work land in real projects, online and off.

Planning projects, understanding value, and marketing -- turning a scalable idea into something that actually ships and matters to other people.

How we deliver curriculum
Creative Challenges
During the 45-minute creative focus block, students take up their challenge of the day. On the Starter Course, everyone moves together -- beyond that, each student takes on challenges matched to their skill level and interests.
Challenges arrive as a quest video -- funny lore and characters with moral, relevant lessons -- plus skill tutorials students can revisit at their own pace. Most use a free external app (email sign-in may be required). Facilitators and senior helpers are on hand when someone gets stuck.
When they finish in their own way, they submit work for the session showcase at the end -- where we recognise and celebrate what the group created together.

Starter Course outline
Egg-Xplore is one subject per week for 10 weeks -- a set challenge and a suggested app each week. Facilitators introduce each tool in session; nobody is expected to already know them.

We send back weekly updates and monthly reports to give you context on your kid -- to help you understand their interests, see their progress, and learn how to communicate with them effectively.

How we bring on new students
Guided tour
Families start with a free Sign up as Family call -- about 15 minutes with a parent present. We explain how Egg Academy works, answer your teen's questions, and outline next steps with no pressure to enrol on the spot.
Welcoming ceremony
Before the first Starter Course session, we run a short family check-in online. We say hi, learn what your teen is interested in, and confirm a real person is joining -- including a brief hello from your teen. It is standard for keeping the community trustworthy, not a performance test.
Settling into the community and sessions
New creators start with other new creators on the same intake date. Facilitators support every step -- icebreakers, chat, quiet spaces, and the weekly rhythm -- so teens can find their pace. You can help them get going at the start; after a while they are usually away and running on their own.

Beyond weekday sessions, we bring creators together for shared experiences -- online jams, showcases, and flagship in-person gatherings across the year.
These events are where young people meet the friends they've made online, show what they've made, and feel part of a community that creates with purpose.

Age groupings & peer fit
Creators join from age 10. We group peers by age where it helps -- same structured Egg-Xplore start for everyone, with projects and tone that fit your teen.

Roughly 10-14
Facilitator-led Egg-Xplore in small groups with peers close in age. Structured sessions, daily showcases, and a moderated community built for young teens.

Senior creators
Roughly 15-17
Same Egg-Xplore entry path, with age-matched peers, more independence in projects, and a tone that feels teen -- not childish. Evening options where we have enough interest.
Same start, different fit. Older teens still begin with Egg-Xplore so skills and community norms are solid before wider peer activity. Age grouping is about belonging -- not skipping the basics.

Membership
Beyond the Starter Course, many students love staying involved. We run more live sessions and further modules and courses for them to develop further digital skills and meet more creators.
Right now, membership is $40 per month which allows them to keep coming to the live weekly sessions.
