The weekend

There is a main base at camp with activities running throughout the weekend -- including a Creative Hackathon, where we have a fixed amount of time to jam out a project together.

Creators will be camping in tents. We are there to help with setup, and we have an amazing crew of volunteers and creators coming in from all over NZ.

We also have 1 cabin still available -- please contact Kane directly if you are interested: kane@eggacademy.co.nz.

More announcements coming soon -- we cannot wait to share the Adventure Quest / Trading System & geo-location map setup we are developing for it.

Event team

Everyone helping make EggCamp happen -- swipe or use the arrows to meet the crew.

Additional volunteers go through our usual police vetting. The team keeps camp safe while giving creators space to connect.

Your EggCamp goodie bag

Every creator checks in with gear made for them -- not generic camp swag, but pieces that carry your egg and your username.

  • Event goodie bag
  • Lanyard with your egg on it
  • Water bottle with your username
  • Egg character sticker sheet
EggCamp goodie bag, personalised lanyard, username water bottle, and egg character stickers.

Before you come

Youth Hub meet & pick up

Everyone meets at the Youth Hub, 109 Salisbury Street, Christchurch. We travel to and from Spencer Park by car / Uber. Pick up is from the Youth Hub as well.

Tenting

Young creators tent up -- bring your own tent (may be shared if arranged beforehand). Tent groupings are coordinated ahead of time so everyone feels comfortable.

Facilitators and support crew stay in cabins. All creator tents stay in the same camp area.

Food

We provide food throughout camp. Share any dietary requirements or allergies when you sign up so we can plan accordingly.

Devices & power

Devices are welcome but optional. EggCamp is built around shared experiences, creativity, and being present. Power is limited; bring a charger or power bank if needed.

Devices can be stored in a locked cabin while we are out on adventures. The monster jam track still benefits from a charged phone or laptop if creators want to contribute digitally.
